Stevenson Creek, Boulder Junction
Stevenson Creek was our first outdoor investigation in a long time. Here is some of the history associated with this location. All that is left of the building is a 40 foot stone chimney and the cement walls of the basement. The building that once stood in the 1920s was three stories high and was used as a bed and breakfast. One day, everybody who had been staying there, even the owners, disappeared and the house was abandoned. Nobody knows what happened to the people who were staying in the house. People who have visited this location have said that you can still see people walking into the basement, kids playing in the creek and sometimes running in the tall grass. There are windy spots around people at this location when everyone else is calm. Numerous cold spots in the basement and people have reported being "touched". In the past I have debated putting investigations in formal format or in a format for general reading to cover the "Highlights". I have opted for this particular investigation to go with a Highlight format. When private clients request an investigation. Formal forms are provided for the client,as well as a CD with video, photos, etc. Moving on. During this investigation, we had two new members with us. Dave and his wife Carrie. Both have been interested in the paranormal for many years and both have had some very interesting personal experiences. We arrived on site about 6:00pm or so. We brought with us various equipment. Dave had just picked up a new Cellsensor EMF meter. Right away during the investigation, Dave forwarded questions to any potential entities in the area. In response, the meter emitted a light and audible sound, in addition to a analog needle fluctuation, built into the device. The meter reacted in such a way as to suggest that something was responding to Daves questions. This happened several times. All of us experienced a sweet cigar or pipe tobacco smell. This was only momentary and happened several times during the evening. Carrie recalled hearing some light voices. Mary, one of our co-founders, had a sense of a fisherman present. While reviewing audio for EVPs. A voice responds to her query with the word,"Fisherman". It is listed in the EVP section of this website. While I was trying to convince any potential entities to get in the frame of my camera for a picture. A voice with a slight southern accent says, "Okay". These will also be in the EVP section. At one point Dave,Carrie and Mary were attempting some contact. Dave placed his meter on the remains of the basement wall. All three members witnessed the meter move slightly on its own. A thermal camera was also brought on the investigation. Some stills were taken, but with inconclusive results. At one time while trying to evoke a response, the trees Within the foundation began to move fiercely. It was only noted because it was so localized to that area. No photo or video anomalies were recorded. More evidence is being reviewed as this is being published. Well I have finalized evidence review. One additional EVP was found. It appears to say "Hey", but upon cleaning it may possibly say,"Help me". You be the judge. One more item I failed to mention earlier. During our investigation, we experience a high level of instrument and camera failure due to battery drain. It is our policy to check ALL batteries with a tester prior to an investigation. If they are if at a 50% level, they are changed immediately. Should we find any additional history on the location, we will be sure to post it.
