Electronic Voice Phenomena

Many of you have heard of this phenomena, due to a movie that was recently released. Although the movie, had it inaccuracies, it did open up some people to the possibility. What is EVP? It has been known for many years, that recording devices, tape, digital or otherwise, can pickup anomalous sounds or voices. Early on in our ghost research, we had went to a cemetary in Southern Wisconsin. This was our first, Night visit, to a cemetary. We carried a small Olympus micro recorder and a large camcorder. Full VHS tape, if you know what I mean. We spent, maybe, 15 minutes in this cemetary. We didn't realize,until months later, that we had captured 4 EVPS on that small taperecorder. It was quite accidental, I reviewed the tapes with headphones, and upon hearing the first EVP, my zeal for ghost research went through the roof!! Before listening to the EVP's, it should be noted, what was happening at the time. It appears, that for whatever reason, when my wife talks, the spirit world answers. This is true of this session and others that follow. Maybe it is some special set of harmonics, that seem to rouse a response from the spirit world, or just plain luck. Regardless, when the first EVP occurred (Die), we had walked by a family grave, in this plot, 4 childen had died, and none had lived past 3 months of age. My wife confided to me, many months later, that she had been wondering at the time, if the mother had been abusive, or had disease struck these children down. Two more EVPs occurred, but the last one, was at the moment we were leaving the cemetary. It appears to say "Comeback", to us, but you be the judge....

All of these audio files are run through Cool Edit Pro. This was the last wave file I was to review. There was about 2 seconds left of audio, when I found this EVP, at the very moment we were leaving the cemetary..

Durkee

This EVP was collected while training someone at a cemetary close to our home. We had never been to this cemetary before, and didn't think it was active. This was recorded on Two microrecorders at the same time. It was approximately 9:00pm. It was still light. We were standing in front of a womans marker. At the base of her lot, was a smaller stone, that said, Baby and the last name. My wife and I were wondering what the babies name was. On the recording you will hear an older mans voice, apparently, answering our question. He appears to say Marilyn Ann, followed by some undesernibles. We have left it unedited as it was recorded. If you think you know what he is saying, drop us aline and let us know. You can be the judge....

Don't Like It

When this EVP was recorded, we were standing next to a headstone,that appeared to be homemade. It was simply a rock, with the deceased name written on it in magic marker. We were commenting on this when the EVP was recorded. It appears that the deceased doesn't like it either....

Kathys son

This was recorded while walking away from the marker of someone that I had known in high school. It appears to be saying, "Do you know Kathys son?". Though the persons mother is not named Kathy, to my knowledge. You decide. In my opinion, after analyzing the voice with Cool edit, I believe it is a male voice but at a higher pitch.

We Just Came From The Hospital

Probably our best EVP. This would be a Class A. Easily and clearly heard without headphones. This was at an undisclosed location in Tomahawk WI also.

We captured this EVP seconds before, "Alonzo did it." It is faint so have headphones ready. This was also backed up by a notable isolated cold spot and spike on the EMF Meter.

Also during Operation Chimney.This was captured after Mary mentioned that she felt a fisherman was present. I made a mental note to scrutanize this portion of the tape for EVPs. Sure enough, right after Mary says,"fisherman", it appears to be said again right after that. The cleaned version will show this better.
